The historic City of Chester in the North West of England will host two complementary life science meetings in April 2010. “ProteoMMX: Strictly Quantitative” and the “5th International Symposium: Mass Spectrometry, Ion Mobility & Related Techniques in Life Science (5th IMMS MMX)” will take place in the same conference venue.
ProteoMMX 19-21 April 2010
As the field of proteomics matures, there is a gradual movement towards characterisation and quantification studies. This meeting will address the challenges and strategies for quantitative proteomics. The short meeting will focus predominantly on MS based quantification. Topics to be addressed include: Label-free and label-mediated quantification, informatics for quantification, data standards for quantitative proteomics data, quantification of post-translational modifications, in vitro labels and metabolic labelling, including SILAC and dynamic SILAC.
5th IMMS MMX 21-22 April 2010
The 5th International Symposium: Mass Spectrometry, Ion Mobility & Related Techniques in Life Science will highlight recent innovations in High Resolution MS, Ion Mobility Separation and Ultra Performance LC and their potential to enhance life science research. Biological complexity continuously challenges researchers in their quest to visualise novel molecular structures, understand mechanisms of disease at the molecular level and develop new therapeutic strategies. This one and a half day symposium focuses on the following topics: Enabling Technologies/Techniques for Life Science Research, New Approaches for Molecular/Supramolecular Structure Elucidation, High Definition Protein Profiling, High Definition Metabolite Profiling, High Definition Lipid Profiling, High Definition MALDI Imaging
IMMS MMX is the fifth in an occasional series of symposia (initiated by Micromass in 1997) that will feature an invited panel of internationally renowned speakers focusing on analytical innovations for biological/biomedical and pharmaceutical/bio-pharmaceutical R&D.
